Peaks and Pints releases house beer "Proctor Peaks IPA" brewed by Two Beers Brewing Co.

On January 11, Peaks and Pints in Tacoma is releasing their first house beer courtesy of Seattle’s Two Beers Brewing Co. Touted as a craft beer taproom where brew nerds can wave their geek flags, Peaks and Pints has been featuring a selection of some of the best beers the Pacific Northwest has to offer since November 2016. Now, Peaks and Pints is thrilled to pour this exclusive creation, developed as a collaboration between the Seattle brewery and the Tacoma taproom.

Ron Swarner, Owner and Beer Adventure Guide at Peaks and Pints, has been dreaming of creating a house beer for the craft brew destination. “I really like dank IPA’s and wanted to create the kind of beer I crave after a day of snowboarding or a big climb,” said Swarner. “I’ve been a fan of Two Beers Brewing for a long time. They’re all about the outdoors, the people here are amazing, it just made sense to work with them to brew this beer.”

Proctor Peaks IPA (6.7% ABV and 68 IBUs) is a double dry hopped beer with a flavor profile that can best be described as dank, dank, dank. Proctor Peaks showcases Warrior, Columbus, Simcoe, and Chinook hops, is dry hopped with Simcoe and Chinook, and boasts an addition of Simcoe at the zero minute for good measure. The IPA will go on tap at 6PM on January 11 at Peak and Pints (located at 3816 N 26th St Tacoma, WA 98407) where it will remain a permanent handle. Proctor Peaks IPA will later pour at The Woods tasting room as part of their rotating draft offerings.
