9/30/2017 -- City Tap House “Ain’t Firkin Around” When it Comes to Oktoberfest

Visit Official Event Site

Fort Point beer paradise hosts weekend-long celebration of everything Deutschland.

It's nearly Oktoberfest and to coin City Tap House’s beverage director Greg Coote, "We ain't firkin around." On the weekend of September 30 and October 1, the Fort Point beer paradise’s patio area will be transformed into a German beer garden mirroring Theresienwiese. To fill your (many) steins, there will be a tap takeover with over 15 German-inspired draughts available and Jack's Abby Craft Lagers will be custom-building a gravity cask that will be poured at the bar. (Repeat: GRAVITY CASK.)

The kitchen also will be dishing out some specialties from Deutschland including a German Sausage Sampler with knockwurst, kielbasa, bratwurst, stout mustard, curry ketchup, gherkin pickles and a pretzel roll ($14); Potato Pancakes with apple compote and savory chive crème fraiche ($9); and, Beer-Braised Pork & Sauerkraut Fritters with hefeweizen mustard ($18). To wash it down, order up one of these specialties brews and… Prost!
