In a pre-event stroll around Founders’ ever-expanding brewery in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Tuesday, company co-founder Dave Engbers quipped at one point, “That wall wasn’t here yesterday.”

We’re just 24 hours away from our sixth Brew Talks meetup of the year and we’ve got one final program announcement to make. Brewbound has invited three insanely knowledgeable industry professionals, all of whom are deeply connected with the craft scene throughout Michigan, to discuss the opportunities and challenges that craft brewers face as they look to grow their brands at the local level.

Brewbound will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. next Tuesday, July 21, to host Brewing Talks, an education and networking meetup for beer industry professionals. The event, which will be hosted inside of Founders Brewing Company’s Centennial Room, will feature a special 1-on-1 conversation with Founders co-founder and president, Dave Engbers.

Brewbound is pleased to announce that Brew Talks – a traveling meetup for beer industry professionals – will make its next stop at Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, Mich. on July 21. Local brewers, distributors and retailers are invited to join the Michigan meetup, being held inside of the brewery’s Centennial Room (235 Grandville Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503), at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday July 21.

Three prominent craft brewing executives from across the country will take the stage at next week’s Brewbound Session in Chicago, Ill. to talk portfolio strategy and how they execute behind their brands in the marketplace.

After nearly going bankrupt in 2001, Founders has, in the last five years, become one of the fastest growing craft beer companies in the U.S. In 2008, Founders made less than 12,000 barrels of beer. In 2013, the company expects that number to grow to 135,000.
