Plain and simple: CraftBeer.com was created on behalf of U.S. craft brewers to celebrate the best of American beer. Their goal is to energize and engage craft beer enthusiasts and arm them with the resources to be active and educated appreciators of the ever-expanding craft beer movement.

With the increased growth of independent breweries in Connecticut, it is an honor for Willibrew to be the only nomination in the State. Willimantic Brewing Company is a part of the Connecticut Beer Trail and our owner/head brewer, David Wollner, is the Vice-President of the Connecticut Craft Brewers’ Guild. The nomination is also significant for the State of Connecticut in its efforts to promote tourism. In keeping with the Still Revolutionary theme, our restaurant and pub brewery is located in a 1909 Federal Post Office building.

“Let’s show the rest of the country what we already know, that Connecticut is home to some really great beer.” said David Wollner, Brewmaster at The Willimantic Brewing Co.

About the Willimantic Brewing Company:

The restaurant and pub-brewery makes many different types of beer each month, and features other producers’ craft brews on draught as well. Housed in an historic granite and limestone 1909 U.S. Post Office Building, the pub was the customer lobby and the private dining room housed the postmaster’s office. The main dining room, from where you can view the 7 barrel brewery was the post office work room. The brewpub’s post office-themed menu is overflowing with mouth watering selections, featuring over 100 items including award-winning wings to steaks, pasta, seafood, burgers and salads.
