Portland, Ore. – Widmer Brothers brewed four collaboration beers with four food and beverage industry heavyweights for Bon Appétit Presents Feast Portland: A Celebration of Oregon Bounty, an annual culinary festival that will be held from Thursday, September 17, to Sunday, September 20, 2015.

The four new collaboration beers, which were each brewed at Widmer Brothers’ 10-barrel innovation brewery specifically for Feast Portland, include:

Som O Grapefruit Radler: created in collaboration with Andy Ricker of Pok Pok, whose Grapefruit Som Drinking Vinegar was used to create this innovative radler with a Helles Lager base. 3.5% ABV / IBU 10

Rauch und Kirschen: collaborator Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue smoked 10 pounds of cherries to make this Helles Lager. 5% ABV / IBU 14

El Injerto Coffee Pale: created with Stumptown Coffee Roasters, which added Guatemalan Finca el Injerto Bourbon coffee to this rich, roasted American-style pale ale. 5.5% ABV / 48 IBU

Missing Legs Saison: Prosciutto di Parma USA collaborated with Widmer Brothers to make this Belgian-style farmhouse ale brewed with Grains of Paradise. 6.5% ABV / 24 IBU

“We are really happy to continue our partnership with Feast Portland and to help bring even more excitement to the event with some fun new beers,” said Kurt Widmer, co-founder of Widmer Brothers Brewing. “The festival brings together a couple things that we love about Oregon: access to great ingredients and the adventurous people who celebrate life through Portland’s culture of beer, wine, and food. The four collaborations we brewed for Feast capture this idea, as well, bringing together some really innovative people in the industry, and some great, unique ingredients.”

Widmer Brothers Brewing is an event title sponsor of Feast Portland for the fourth year, and will be pouring the four collaboration beers at many of the festival’s events. The beers will also be available at the Widmer Brothers Pub and very select restaurants and craft beer bars throughout Portland.

Proceeds from Feast Portland will benefit two hunger-relief organizations, Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and No Kid Hungry. For tickets, schedule of events, and more information, please visit www.feastportland.com.

About Widmer Brothers Brewing

Widmer Brothers Brewing was founded in 1984 in Portland, Ore. Brothers Kurt and Rob Widmer, with help from their dad, Ray, helped lead the Pacific Northwest craft beer movement when they began brewing unique interpretations of traditional German beer styles. In 1986, Widmer Brothers Brewing introduced the original American-style Hefeweizen, which elevated the brewery to national acclaim. Since then, Hefe (pronounced: “hay-fa”) has grown to become Oregon’s favorite craft beer and the brewery has continued to push the boundaries, developing beers with an unapologetic, uncompromised commitment to innovation.

The brewery currently brews a variety of award-winning beers including Hefe, Upheaval IPA, Alchemy Pale Ale, Drop Top Amber Ale, Replay IPA, a full seasonal lineup, and a series of limited-edition beers. For more information about Widmer Brothers Brewing, visit www.widmerbrothers.com.
