Cincinnati, OH – Urban Artifact, Cincinnati’s wild culture expert, is set to release the first barrel aged bottled beer offering since opening as draft-only in April 2015. A bottle launch in the brewery’s Northside taproom, located at 1660 Blue Rock Street, is set for December 16th at 4 pm. The initial launch will include Thoroughbred, which is a bourbon barrel aged imperial amber lager aged with Brettanomyces claussenii.

Thoroughbred was the first ever barrel aged beer to be produced by Urban Artifact and was first available on draft upon opening in April 2015. The concept of the beer starts with a grain bill paying homage to a bourbon mash designed to blend impeccably with the bourbon barrel character. The addition of Brettanomyces clausenii during the barrel aging process imparts subtle tropical fruit character including papaya and coconut.

In addition to the bottles, a limited number of Thoroughbred branded tulip glasses will be sold at the bottle release event while supplies last.
