The Alchemist, a Waterbury, VT based brewery known for its double IPA Heady Topper, issued a distribution update on its blog today.
Brewery co-owner, Jennifer Kimmich, wrote:
“Everyone is asking when we will expand our distribution of Heady Topper. Although we are unable to commit to any other market on a regular basis, we hope to occasionally spread some Heady around New England and beyond.”
Beer aficionados will tell you that Heady Topper is one of the best double IPA’s available on the east coast. The beer, previously only available for purchase in Vermont, recently made its way to Boston but was only sold at a few on-premise locations in 16 oz. cans.
In today’s update, Kimmich said the brewery plans to send more beer to Boston as well as Philadelphia and New York City over the next eight weeks.
