Lombard, Illinois — Muntons Malted Ingredients, an International leader in the manufacture and supply of British malt, malted ingredients and home brewing kits, has announced its United States headquarters has moved from Seattle, Washington to the Chicago, Illinois suburb city of Lombard. The new head office is located at 2505 South Finley Road in Lombard, Illinois, and is under the leadership of Executive Vice President Fred Johnson.

Johnson said the Chicago area is a natural choice for Muntons as it is a key hub for the international food and beverage industry.

“The growing demand for premium quality malt products directed our decision to locate our headquarters in one of the principal cities for global food and beverage leadership and innovation,” said Johnson.

He added that the more centralized continental location was also a factor in the relocation decision, as it will “provide Muntons with an epicenter from which to serve the food and beverage industry sectors that Muntons supplies in the U.S. from coast to coast, including malted ingredients for the food, baking and confectionary industry, and malts and brewing kits for the distilling and craft brewing industry. We are very pleased to become a member of this community,” said Johnson.

Muntons has also recently opened a distribution center in Denver, Colorado, and will open another in City of Industry, California this month. Those facilities join two other Muntons’ distribution centers located in Westfield, Massachusetts and Barton, Vermont.
