Sun King Brewing Co. Partners with Indy Cycloplex

INDIANPOLIS, IN – This past summer, Sun King Brewing Co. was awarded a Bronze-level designation as a Bicycle Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists. Today, Sun King bolsters its support of cycling by partnering with the Indy Cycloplex at Lake Sullivan.

A city park operated by Marian University, Indy Cycloplex at Lake Sullivan is the home of Major Taylor Velodrome, a skateboarding park, and a soon-to-be resurrected BMX track. Marian University Cycling coach and Indy Cycloplex director Dean Peterson is also working to make Lake Sullivan a destination for cycling through the addition of a permanent cyclocross course, a road racing practice course, and a cycling-oriented fitness facility and sports-medicine research lab.

“The whole vision is to make a wide variety of cycling disciplines accessible to the general public while serving the needs of elite riders,” says Peterson.

Sun King will serve beer at three upcoming cyclocross events to support Marian University’s efforts to revitalize this important city property.

Mon., Nov. 14, 5 to 6:30 p.m. – ZIPP Cyclocross Super Clinic Indianapolis-based racing wheel manufacturer ZIPP Speed Weaponry brings top cyclocross pros to Indianapolis for a free instructional clinic.

Sat., Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – ZIPP CX A triple-header of cyclocross races including the ZIPP CX, the Collegiate Regional Championships, and the Mayor’s Cup.

Sat., Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – NUVO CX A double-header of cyclocross races including the NUVO CX and the Mayor’s Cup.
