Bremerton, WA — Silver City is proud to announce the return of the highly-limited, Bourbon Barrel-Aged variant of Old Scrooge on November 19th. Aged in single-use Kentucky Bourbon barrels since last Christmas, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Old Scrooge includes dimensions of warming bourbon and wood. Subtle layers of oak, candied fruit, and vanilla waft to the nose, while the rich malt character of the beer bonds with the whiskey notes of the barrel.
This rarity will be initially available in limited quantities at Silver City Brewery Taproom on November 19th at precisely 2pm. It will also be available at Silver City Restaurant & Ale House and specialty bottle shops in Western Washington. With the 2015 release, Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Scrooge will debut its all-new packaging, in 500ml bottles with a pearlescent, foil finished label.
Old Scrooge Vertical Tasting Event
The Old Scrooge Vertical Tasting has been a fan-favorite event since the inception of Silver City Brewery’s taproom. As a beer that benefits immensely from extended aging, this particular event provides those with discerning tastes the opportunity to try past vintages of Old Scrooge that have been aged at perfect cellar conditions in the Brewmaster’s private library. Appetizers will be provided and collectible 4-packs featuring the vintages of Old Scrooge (along with a commemorative tulip glass) will be available for purchase.
