Santa Fe, New Mexico — This week the Santa Fe Brewing Company is excited to announce that it will be releasing the 2015 vintage of Single Barrel Sour Ale. Single Barrel Sour is an American interpretation of the traditional Belgian Gueuze style. Aged for 18 months, this beer is designed to showcase the flavor and aroma of the French Oak Barrels. Our Barrels were constructed in Bonne, France for use in Chardonnay wine making. We combined Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces to bring the worlds of wine and beer together in the Single Barrel Sour. The flavors of Lactobacillus, white grapes, and tannic, tart aromas of French Oak leave you with a crisp dry finish.

Beginning on March 4th at both Santa Fe Brewing Co. locations, packaged Single Barrel Sour will be available for purchase. This finely crafted sour ale is housed in 750ml champagne bottles with a swing top enclosure. The label is signed and then applied by hand. This beer will also travel to other states in the Southwest-Midwest regions where Santa Fe Brewing currently has distribution. To name just a few, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri and Texas will all see this beer on the shelves soon in limited quanitities.
