Pittsburgh, PA  – With the Pittsburgh Pirates home opener less than 30 days away, fans can do a little pre-season training of their own courtesy of Pittsburgh Brewing Co. (www.pittsburghbrewing.com). For the third consecutive year, PBC has released the first of three Pittsburgh Pirates-themed I.C. Light Collector Series Beer Cans – the gold “Retro” can featuring the team’s popular “Handsome Jolly Roger” used from 1971-1986 (including their 1971 and 1979 World Series). “Retro” Cans are on sale now, available in 30-packs, 24-packs and 12-packs.

In upcoming months, fans will enjoy two additional Pittsburgh Pirates-themed I.C. Light Collector Series Beer Cans – the “Camo” and “PNC Park” Cans. The “Camo” Can was inspired by the Pirates’ new 2015 camouflage Jerseys, which will be worn every Thursday this season. The “PNC Park” Can was designed as a tribute to the beautiful, classic-style ballpark and the team’s current Jolly Roger. New Pirates-themed 12 oz. Bottles and 16 oz. Black Cans will also be available for purchase in the coming months.

“Pittsburgh Brewing Company is proud of its Pirates partnership,” said Brian Walsh, CEO. “We’re confident that our new I.C. Light Collector Series Cans and I.C. Light Landing bar stand in PNC Park’s left field bleachers will help inspire the best fans in Major League Baseball to lead the Pirates to a third straight playoff berth this year!”

In addition, as part of its Collector Series Beer Can promotion, PBC kicked off its “Raise the Jolly Roger and Win All Summer Long” campaign, in which a unique code is included on each 30-pack of Pirates branded cans allowing customers to enter to win home game tickets and Pirates prize packs now through September.
