NEW YORK – A NYC based private equity firm is expected to announce plans today to purchase the Iron City Brewing Company.
Iron City Brewing left the town of Pittsburgh, PA in 2009 resulting in the loss of over 50 jobs and effectively eliminated the last brewery from a town that had once housed more than two dozen in the early part of the 20th century.
Jeremy Boren of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review broke the story yesterday.
