North Coast Brewing Company Promotes Sam Kraynek to Chief Financial Officer

Fort Bragg, CA — North Coast Brewing Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Controller Sam Kraynek to the position of Chief Financial Officer. As Controller for the brewery since 2013, Kraynek has been responsible for financial reporting, banking relationships, internal controls, insurance administration, budgeting and human resource administration. The brewery is looking forward to Kraynek’s service in this new capacity as they head into their twenty-ninth year as one of the top craft brewers in the world.

“Sam brings unmatched experience and dedication to this position and we are lucky to have him. We know that, as CFO, he will support the brewery’s continued growth in a craft beer market that is becoming increasingly competitive,” says North Coast’s Co-Founder and President Mark Ruedrich.

With an impressive track record in the food business, Sam brings over 40 years of experience in management, sales and marketing, manufacturing, distribution, and finance and accounting. Sam has held various management positions with a number of companies including President and General Manager of Rosarita Mexican Foods, a $50 million division of Beatrice Foods, Vice President and General Manager of the $70 million Bakery Distribution Division of International Multifoods, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bay State Milling, a $200 million flour milling operation, and CEO of Thanksgiving Coffee Company, a publicly held operation in Fort Bragg.

Kraynek is also dedicated to supporting community causes and the brewery’s mission-driven approach to business as a Certified B Corporation. He serves as Vice President of the Board of Mendocino City Community Services District community, is the former Chairperson of the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce, and participates in other charitable organizations on the North Coast.
