Lincolnwood, IL — Louis Glunz Beer, Inc., Chicagoland’s premier craft and specialty import beer distributor, announces the addition of Crazy Mountain Brewing Company to its extensive portfolio. This new partnership marks yet another brand signing this year for the team at Glunz. The brewery was founded in Vail Valley, Colorado in 2010 and now features a second brewing facility in Denver.

“Crazy Mountain has an incredible amount of dedication and drive when it comes to their beers,” says John Dressman, Glunz craft and specialty import brand manager. “They treat every beer like a story: each one has a main character, purpose, and flavor behind it, making them all memorable.”

To celebrate this new distributor relationship between Crazy Mountain and Glunz, Latinicity (108 N. State St.) currently has every Crazy Mountain beer on tap in preparation for a special series of launch events taking place on the evenings of October 13 and 14 at the Latin-themed food court.

Crazy Mountain beers currently distributed by Glunz and available to area restaurants, bars, and retailers include:

Mountain Livin’ American pale ale (5.7% ABV)
Utilizing two types of American hops, they put the flavor of them center stage and let their bitterness fade into the background. The hop-forward character of this Pale Ale shines through in the unique, tropical fruit flavor of two American hop varieties. Enjoy this offering with a fresh approach to how a Pale Ale expresses its inner hoppiness. Sit down for a spell with Jeremiah, the bright and outgoing gatekeeper of Crazy Mountain. Upbeat and a little gossipy, he’s happy to chat with anyone and share his fresh perspective.

Amber Ale amber ale (5.2% ABV)
This delightfully floral Amber Ale displays a wonderful balance while still maintaining a profound hoppy goodness. They load this ale with a ridiculous and obscene amount of West Coast hops that are added late in the boil resulting in a hoppy brew without any bitterness.Enjoy an introduction to the crazy side with Sheamus, the oldest resident of Crazy Mountain. He monitors the quality of the river with his sharp eyesight so that only the purest water makes it into Crazy Mountain brews. He’s bold but agreeable, and surprisingly clean. And since Sheamus loves all food, be sure to join him for dinner.

Emotional Rescue double IPA (9% ABV)
This ever-evolving beer for Crazy Mountain is an opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of experimental hops. The beer’s profile changes batch to batch due to the hops they use. Each brew showcases a different varietal of hop but the idea stays the same – a deliciously educational way to learn about new hops. Keep up with Padubadub, the lively hop grower of Crazy Mountain. When he is not experimenting with new hops in the field, his igniting and energetic demeanor will renew your love for the life deep within the forest.

Hookiebobb India pale ale (6.7 ABV)
A Colorado approach on an American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one from Down Under team together to make a bright citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine. Get ready for a wild ride down the mountain with Magnus, Crazy Mountain’s able-bodied grain pounder. He prepares grain for brewing by smashing it with his great strength. He’s strong but bright, and complex but not too intense. So buckle-up and prepare for quite the lift.

Snowcat coffee stout (5.9% ABV)
Take artisanal roasted coffee, brew it in a stout blended with roasted malts, and get the perfect winter ale. Rise early with Gamila, Crazy Mountain’s energetic manager of cooling and storing beers. After working long hours in the cold, Gamila’s buzzing personality is warm and inviting. She is quick and clever, and accomplishes more by sunrise than most people do in a day. Raise a glass to all the midnight marauders and get ready to take on the day.

Old Soul Belgian golden ale (7.5% ABV)
A healthy amount of wheat gives this ale a very smooth mouth feel that’s accompanied by a fruity yeast character. Belgian candy contributes to this brew’s light body and complex flavor. European hops paired with Juniper berries to offer a soft, subtle spiciness. Savor the subtle spices of life with Luther, a creature wise beyond his years. He’s got a strong Belgian character, with a soft approach to living.

Lawyers, Guns, and Money barleywine (10% ABV)
For this special brew they use an assortment of crystal malts and throw a little Belgian candi-sugar into the Brew Kettle to give a hearty maltiness. Dry hopping with American Hops gives this English style a refreshing American twist. Take a spin with Zevon, Crazy Mountain’s chief of kicking ass and taking names. His strong, straightforward style is undoubtedly American, but he also has a warm, sweet side that balances his strength and makes him quite influential. Zevon is well versed in the art of persuasion and gives solid advice should s#%t ever hit the fan.

Lava Lake Belgian witbier (6.7% ABV)
This Ale is their take on a classic Belgian Wit. To make this Wit unique, they add un-malted wheat, rolled oats, two varieties of classic European hops, chamomile, curacao orange peel, coriander, grains of paradise, and a rare yeast strain from the Old Country. This is a brew that can be enjoyed both on the slopes and on the beach. Slow down and take in the scenery with Byamba, one of the brighter creatures on Crazy Mountain. She boils the water for brewing with a zest for life that is contagious. Her personality is lively, refreshing and a little complicated. So pause for a moment and join her for an afternoon amid the blooming chamomile on Lava Lake.
