Longmont, CO – Left Hand Brewing Co. and Birrificio Italiano have partnered for a Brewer’s Exchange program, sending a brewer to each other’s facility to cross-train, promoting mutual enrichment and idea sharing. From January through March, Francesca Guzzetti of Northern Italy’s Birrificio Italiano and Henry Myers of Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing will step into the other’s shoes, experiencing each brewery’s operations and culture. The united venture will provide both brewers an exchange of techniques and skills, across all facets of brewing operations.

Described as a Sharevolution by Left Hand & Birrificio Italiano’s respective founders – Eric Wallace and Agostino Arioli, the union is inspired by the collaborative spirit & shared passion for cultivating small and independent brewers.“Our partnership with Birrificio Italiano goes beyond the exchange of knowledge, opening the door for continued collaboration in a number of different ways, on both sides of the Atlantic, by learning from each other and in furthering independent craft brewers’ efforts to make the world a better place by expanding the reach of great beer.”explains Eric Wallace, LHBC president and co-founder. With distribution in 8 countries outside the U.S. and additional markets in development, Left Hand continues to support the flourishing culture of craft beer, seeking opportunities to improve the beer drinkers’ access to a wide variety of high quality, flavorful beer.

About Birrificio Italiano
Birrificio Italiano is an Italian craft beer pioneer (est. 1994, open for business since 1996, first microbrewery in the Lombardy region) based in Limido Comasco (CO). Brewer and founder Agostino Arioli’s brewing concept focuses on the research of enjoyable beers, produced with the alchemic philosophy of non-interventionism: a brewer’s task consists not in “fixing” the finished product with corrective measures, but is instead to thoroughly observe the natural elements which concur to production. Knowing the complexity of nature will allow the brewer to create the ideal source conditions for a beer to spontaneously evolve towards the desired result: such process grants Birrificio Italiano’s beers the chance to be unfiltered, unpasteurized, and brewed without any kind of stabilizers, additives or centrifugations. This is how Tipopils, Nigredo, Bibock and a number of other classics are born; together with several seasonal brews and a product line, the BRQ series, completely dedicated to the research of experimental barrel-aged beers.
