June Lake Brewing Remembers Snowboarding Legend with El Jeffe American Wheat Beer

June Lake Brewing El Jeffe American Wheat Beer

June Lake, CA – June Lake Brewing, creator of #superawesomebeer, is releasing its first ever, limited edition, American Wheat beer Friday, April 1st, to commemorate the JLA Project’s Fourth Annual JLA Banked Slalom snowboard event at California’s Mammoth Mountain. The JLA Project is the nonprofit foundation setup in memory of much beloved professional snowboarder, Jeff “Jeffy” Lin Anderson, to support the arts, snowboarding and skateboarding in the Eastern Sierra region of California.

The JLB El Jeffe American Wheat beer is a nonconformist American wheat beer that, similar to both JLB’s brewing and Jeffy’s snowboarding styles, flaunts all traditions. The El Jeffe represents JLB’s unique take on the American Wheat and Hefeweizen beer styles, and $1 of each bottle sold will be donated to the JLA Project to maintain the mind bending greatness of the Volcom Brothers Skatepark and promote general awesomeness for all humanity.

According to Justin Walsh, Maker of Beer and Doer of Things at JLB, “Harnessing the creativity that is JLA, we dry hopped the hell out of the El Jeffe with an absurd amount of Green Bullet hops to deliver crazy floral and tropical fruit flavors without the bitterness most expect from a “hoppy” beer, much less a traditional wheat beer.”

The El Jeffe American Wheat will be available to purchase at JLB’s tasting room in June Lake, along with select retail accounts throughout Mammoth Lakes and June Lake. The June Lake Brewing El Jeffe is 55 IBU, 5.3% ABV and will be available in 22 ounce bottles, with a label that features a silhouette of Jeffy himself.
