Concord, NH – The Henniker Brewing Company (HBC) will hold a Miles & Miles Launch Fundraiser as a benefit for the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, NH on Thursday, August 11th from 6-8 p.m. The evening will include live music, catering by Daniel’s Restaurant of Henniker, an opportunity to taste each of HBC’s year-round beers, raffle prizes, and tours of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, all for $25 per person. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Discovery Center.

Named in honor of Derry, New Hampshire’s own Alan Shepard, HBC’s Miles & Miles is a dry-hopped, light-bodied pale ale, with bready malt notes and a juicy, tropical hop aroma. As a new business whose owners, like Shepard, have deep roots in the Granite State, HBC is dedicated to the community and seeks to highlight and help raise funds for what they consider a true NH treasure, the museum dedicated to America’s first astronaut and his fellow space pioneer, Christa McAuliffe. Ten years after Alan Shepard’s historic Mercury flight, he became the fifth person to set foot on the Moon, as commander of NASA’s Apollo XIV Mission. While there, Shepard became the first and only person to play golf on the Moon, hitting his second golf ball, as he put it, “miles and miles and miles” above and across the lunar surface.

Tickets to the Miles and Miles Launch Fundraiser are available through the Henniker Brewing Company, 129 Centervale Rd., Henniker NH and/or the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center.

Founded in 2011, the Henniker Brewing Company brews beer with the true New Hampshire spirit of independence, home town pride, and hard work. HBC’s goals are to bring people together, to celebrate the uniqueness of Henniker, and to make a living doing something its founders care deeply about. Using only the finest ingredients, all of HBC’s beers are crafted by hand. www.hennikerbrewing.com.
