Harpoon Founders Make Good on Super Bowl Bet

Brooklyn Brewery President taps BLAST! in Harpoon tasting room

Harpoon Founders Dan Kenary and Rich Doyle settled their Super Bowl bet with Brooklyn Brewery president Steve Hindy, yesterday.

As part of the bet, Kenary, Doyle and other brewery members had to don NY Giants garb and tap a keg of Brooklyn BLAST! in the brewery tasting room.

And as far as beer bets are concerned, this one actually worked out in Harpoon’s favor. Brooklyn made the decision last month to make BLAST! a year-round draught offering, but currently one of the few places you can taste the beer outside of NYC is at the Harpoon tasting room.

Brewbound was there to witness the first few pints of Brooklyn’s self-described “Big IPA” being poured. Check out the photos below.
