GrassLands Brewing Receives Brewer’s Notice

Tallahassee, FL — GrassLands Brewing Company, a Tallahassee, FL brewery that opened its taproom in February 2015, has been awarded its Federal Brewer’s Notice. Located in the heart of the newly-revitalized Gaines Street District, GrassLands Brewing Company has been in the application process with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) since this past winter. Currently, the average application processing time for craft breweries with the TTB is 120 days.

Once awarded a Cereal Malt Beverage (CMB) license with the state of Florida, GrassLands Brewing Company will begin producing craft beer on its 2.5 barrel pilot system until a larger, 15 barrel production system arrives later this year. The budding craft brewery anticipates starting distribution the first quarter of 2016.

The GrassLands Brewing Company taproom currently serves craft beer from throughout the state of Florida in addition to specialty kegs from regional breweries on its 12-tap system, complemented by both indoor and outdoor social areas. Neighboring businesses Full Press Apparel, Atlas Fit, Catalina Café and Gaines Street Pies help GrassLands Brewing Company round out the multi-faceted retail and concert venue called Garages on Gaines.
