Louisville, KY Louisville-based Goodwood Brewing Co. is excited to announce the release of the latest addition to their year-round lineup, Spruce Tip IPA.

But there’s a twist- the brewers at Goodwood have been working hard on three Spruce Tip IPA recipes and they’re asking for their loyal customers to help decide which one to send to market! December 29th, at the Louisville taproom, they will host a tasting event, open to the public, where guests will be asked to choose their favorite IPA. The winning spruce tip-infused IPA will be a year-round offering available on draft and in 6-packs of 12oz cans beginning in March.

Barrel-aged and malt-forward beers dominate the Goodwood portfolio, but with their growing brand and distribution footprint, the brewing team wanted to craft something new for the hop-loving beer connoisseur.

“People know us for our barrel-aged and malty varieties, but we’re excited to offer something new for the hop-head in all of us! This is just the start of some of the new styles we will be releasing in 2017,” said COO and Brewmaster, Joel Halbleib.

Goodwood launched their new can line last year with the release of Louisville Lager in 12oz cans. Fans can find Spruce Tip IPA on draft and in 6-packs of 12oz cans at select bars and package stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina and coming soon to South Carolina, West Virginia and Missouri. Spruce Tip IPA joins the brewery’s year-round lineup of – Bourbon Barrel Ale, available in 12oz bottles, draught – Louisville Lager, available in 12oz bottles and cans, draught – Bourbon Barrel Stout, available in 12oz bottles, draught – Walnut Brown Ale, available in 12oz bottles, draught – Goodwood Pale Ale, available in 12oz bottles, draught.

About Goodwood Brewing
Goodwood Brewing is a production brewery located in the heart of downtown Louisville. The brewery is dedicated to making beers that have been touched by wood; whether in reclaimed oak casks once used to house bourbon, red wine, and brandy or seasoned on oak, poplar or ash. Goodwood’s “shade-grown beers” are all touched by the natural gradations of reclaimed casks and other wood types for flavorful expressions that are unique to Goodwood. Just like the bourbon Kentucky is famous for, all of Goodwood’s beers begin with limestone water. The gents behind Goodwood are some of Louisville’s longest-serving brewing veterans, running production breweries since 2001.
