Fort Point Beer Company Releases Manzanita Smoked Altbier

San Francisco, CA — Fort Point Beer Company announced today the release of Manzanita, the brewery’s award-winning smoked altbier, in 22 ounce bottles. Previously available only on draft, Manzanita will now be distributed in large format, special edition packaging across the Bay Area.

A uniquely local interpretation on a classic German style, Manzanita’s smoked native plants and rich German malts create delicate flavors of wood, caramel and coffee.

For co-founder, Justin Catalana, “Manzanita an elegant marriage of brewing tradition and Bay Area ingenuity. We’re excited to share this special style with a broader audience through the new bottles.”

Fort Point commissioned Bay Area artist Brendan Monroe and San Francisco design firm Manual to create the new packaging.

Manzanita is the second Fort Point style packaged in 22 ounce bottles; the San Francisco-based brewery released “Moon Phase”, a bourbon barrel-aged quadrupel, in April 2016.

Manzanita has previously been honored at the Good Food Awards (Winner 2015, 2016) and the California State Fair (1st Place 2015).
