This year we are introducing ‘first taste,’ an extension of our product reviews designed to give readers our thoughts on a special release beer before it hits the market. Though the 2012 edition of Hop Henge Experimental IPA was released about a week ago, it’s just now finding its way to retailers’ shelves. For a double IPA, the 2012 version pours more golden than expected, though there is a nice orange hue that is made visible when held up to a bright light.
