Venice, CA — After a few weeks of fine tuning, Firestone Walker Brewing Company’s new Propagator brewhouse in Venice, California is set to unveil its first creation—Generation 1, an unfiltered West Coast-style IPA.

Generation 1 will be tapped starting on Wednesday, November 23 at the adjacent Propagator restaurant.

Generation 1 is aggressively hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Mandarina hops, yet maintains a soft, agreeable texture. The word from Propagator brewer Ben Maushardt and his crew is that Generation 1 is “loaded with bold aromas and devilish drinkability.”

The Propagator is designed to operate as a pilot brewhouse for experimental beers, setting the pace for what is next from Firestone Walker. It will also serve as a working neighborhood brewery to produce unique one-off beers available solely at the Venice location—starting with Generation 1.

Said David Walker, “Christening the Propagator with a West Coast-style IPA only seemed fitting. We are proud to share it with our neighbors, and it is the first of many small batches to come.”
