The evening’s first conversation with Cigar City founder Joey Redner and Brew Hub founder Tim Schoen will explore creative growth strategies for craft brewers. Redner, who over the last seven years has built a reputation for finding unique ways to grow the Cigar City label, will share insight into brand building through creative partnerships. Schoen, meanwhile, will discuss the struggles many craft brewers face as they look to scale their brands and explain how his company is helping emerging brands expand via partner brewing arrangements.

A second panel will feature Chris Larue, the merchandising & analytics director at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Cigar City vice president Justin Clark and Coppertail Brewing president Kent Bailey. The trio will discuss Florida’s emerging craft beer scene and will share thoughts on retail growth opportunities, marketplace challenges and consumer trends.

Brew Talks — gatherings designed to provide craft brewers, distributors and retailers the opportunity to come together and have in-depth discussions on the business side of craft beer – will offer attendees an excellent opportunity to gain business lessons and network with other beverage entrepreneurs.

Beer business professionals are invited to join the Tampa meetup, being held inside of Cigar City’s Fermentorium Room (3924 West Spruce Street Tampa, FL 33607) on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Panel discussions will begin promptly at 5:30 P.M. and guests are invite to enjoy beers and socialize until 8:00 P.M.

100 percent of registration proceeds will benefit the Macdonald Training Center, a local organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to lead the lives they choose. Attendees will also receive one free beer with their donation.

About Brew Talks

Since hosting our first event in the basement of a craft beer bar in Boston in 2013, the meetup series has developed into a multi-city tour where beer industry professionals can come together inside of some of the country’s most recognizable craft breweries and share business insights with one another.

The Brew Talks program is designed to provide members of the beer community with an opportunity to come together and have in-depth discussions on the business of craft beer. The events are also broadcast globally via a free live stream. Through its nine meetups in 2015, Brewbound connected with more than 1,000 beer industry professionals and raised $10,000 for local non-profit organizations.
