As part of its week-long tour of the Southeast, Brewbound will travel to Fullsteam Brewery in Durham, North Carolina on Wednesday, February 26 to host Brew Talks, a traveling meetup for craft beer entrepreneurs. The FREE educational and networking event series will feature two in-depth business discussions with North Carolina-based beer industry professionals.
The evening’s feature panel will explore how craft brewers can work with – instead of against – their wholesale partners to build better brands and manage an avalanche of new SKUs. Brad Johnston, the owner of Tryon Distributing and Jeff Mims, the chief sales officer at Mims Distributing will join Brewbound.com editor Chris Furnari in a moderated discussion.
Prior to the talk, a discussion on the key packaging decisions for craft brewers will explore the strategic reasons behind the selection and design of craft packages. A variety of factors, such as cost of goods, margins, brand image and equipment constraints will be discussed. Fullsteam Brewery founder, Sean Wilson, will join the conversation.
Brew Talks is a free, traveling meetup series that aims to provide craft brewers with access to valuable insight into the branding, marketing and distribution of craft beer. Brewbound will also make stops in Atlanta and Lexington, Virginia during the week-long tour.
Sponsored by Crown Beverage Packaging and VicinityBrew, the event will be held inside the Fullsteam Brewery, located at 726 Rigsbee Avenue in Durham, North Carolina. Guests are invited to arrive for a pre-event networking session, which begins at 5 P.M. EST. Brew Talks will begin at 5:30 P.M. and a variety of Fullsteam offerings will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Launched in 2013, Brew Talks are designed to provide craft brewers, distributors and retailers the opportunity to come together in beer friendly locales and have in-depth discussions on the business side of craft beer. All Brew Talks events are also broadcast globally via a free live stream.
