Brewbound is pleased to announced that Paul Evers, the founder and president of brand development and design firm tbd Creative, will lead a discussion on branding for craft brewers at the upcoming Brewbound Session in San Diego, Calif. on Nov. 29.

With over 2,000 craft breweries fighting for “share of mind,” it’s becoming increasingly important to establish a beer company brand image that not only resonates with consumers but creates repeat customers. And while many craft brewers have shown an ability to create quality liquids, they have been less consistent at successfully creating the label designs and innovative packaging necessary to elevate their brands and stand out on the shelf.

That’s where Evers comes in. As the creative visionary behind the packaging and branding for Odell Brewing, Deschutes Brewery and 21st Amendment Brewery. Evers – also a partner in Bend, Ore.-based Crux Fermentation Project – will discuss how craft brewers can employ creative packaging design to improve their brand message. Drawing on his past experience with successful craft breweries, Evers will identify the elements that help create powerful brands and explain how brewers can best implement those components into both new and established craft brands. Following his talk, he will discuss branding priorities with the Brewbound Session audience.

About Paul Evers:

Paul Evers is president and chief creative director at tbd Creative in Bend, Oregon, and also co-founder of Crux Fermentation Project, the newest (for now) brewery in Bend. Paul and his team at tbd have created award-winning packaging and branding for Deschutes Brewery, Odell Brewing and 21st Amendment. Tbd is also the branding partner for Crux, charged with helping to define the Crux brand from the ground up, through name, identity, packaging, web design and more.

A California native, Paul moved to Bend in 1990, with his wife Mary and three now-adult kids. He likes to fly fish, hug it out and ride his new bike between tbd and Crux.
