Dry Dock to Tap Colorado Freedom Memorial Blonde Ale

AURORA, CO — Today at 3pm, Dry Dock Brewing Company will tap the 2015 edition of the Colorado Freedom Memorial Blonde Ale at its South Dock location. This American blonde ale was brewed to commemorate and support the Colorado Freedom Memorial, located in Aurora’s Springhill Community Park at 756 Telluride Street. A 12-foot tall, 95-foot wide glass monument to the sacrifice of nearly 6,000 Colorado veterans killed in action since 1876, the Colorado Freedom Memorial is a symbol of our nation’s strength, resilience, and perseverance.

This year’s edition of Colorado Freedom Memorial Blonde has a patriotic twist— it was brewed with Victory malt and Liberty hops. Slightly roasted Victory malt gives this beer a subtle biscuit flavor and Oregon-grown Liberty hops impart floral, spicy notes. This easy-drinking blonde ale weighs in at 5.5 percent ABV with 18 IBUs.

The 2015 Colorado Freedom Memorial Blonde Ale will only be available on draft at South Dock, located at 15120 E. Hampden Avenue in Aurora. The beer will be on tap through Memorial Day weekend and available for growler fills. A portion of this beer’s proceeds will be donated to the Colorado Freedom Memorial Foundation.
