Denver, Colo. – Denver Beer Co. today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Beverage Distributors Company (BDC) to distribute cans, bottles and kegs to on and off premises retailers throughout the state of Colorado. This partnership will enable Denver Beer Co. to reach retailers from Boulder to Monument for the remainder of 2015 and service liquor stores throughout the entire state of Colorado by early 2016.
BDC is one of the top players in the Colorado distribution market with a beer portfolio that includes notable Colorado craft breweries including O’Dell Brewing Company, Avery Brewing Company, Ska Brewing, and Great Divide Brewing Co. By partnering with this well established distribution company, Denver Beer Co. will expand sales from its current 250 retail accounts, to fully servicing accounts statewide in 2016. Denver Beer Co. currently brews at a rate of 7000 barrels per year and is expecting to double production by the end of 2016 to meet increased demand.

Denver Beer Co.’s Canworks production brewery, which opened in August, 2014 at 4455 Jason Street in Denver with an initial brewing capacity of 5,000 bbls per year, currently has a brewing capacity of 8,000 barrels per year. The production brewery will expand by early November 2015 with four new 120 barrel fermenters and an additional 25,000 square feet of production and warehouse space to increase brewing capacity to over 18,000 barrels per year. Denver Beer Co. plans to hire additional brewing staff and packaging staff in the coming months to keep up with increased demand.
Canworks utilizes existing Denver Beer Co. recipes and produces six-pack cans of Graham Cracker Porter, Incredible Pedal IPA, Sun Drenched Exploratory Ale, rotating seasonal six-packs, the Explorer Pack seasonal mixed pack, plus 22 oz. bombers of specialty batches.
