San Diego, CA — Coronado Brewing Company is releasing Breast Beer Ever to support San Diego-based Beer for Boobs, a nonprofit whose mission is to “create a positive relationship with the beer brewing community & compassionate businesses to promote breast cancer awareness and financially support nonprofit cancer research and recovery organizations like the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure.” Coronado will donate $1 from each pint of the beer sold, with a minimum $3,000 total donation.

Coronado brewed two batches of Breast Beer Ever-each with a unique coastal twist. The first batch is a classic Gose with fruit, and the second is a tropical Berliner Weisse. “Goses and Berliner Weisses are pleasantly tart, making them a great backdrop for fruit,” says Ryan Brooks, Brewmaster, Coronado Brewing Company. “The Gose is infused with cantaloupe and pink Himalayan salt, for a fruity and refreshing take on the classic German sour. The second batch is a piña colada Berliner Weisse brewed with fresh pineapple and toasted coconut,” says Brooks. The end results are two effervescent and tart versions of Breast Beer Ever.

Coronado will debut batch #1 of Breast Beer Ever at a launch party on Thursday, October 13, at the company’s Main Brewery and Tasting Room. Beer for Boobs will be onsite with a booth to educate the public on its mission and to raise additional funds through merchandise sells. Lumpia City will be selling food available for purchase, and there will be 20+ additional Coronado beers on tap. The tasting room is dog and family-friendly. Batch #2 of Breast Beer Ever will be released in late October, and can be found on draft at the company’s tasting room and key accounts throughout Southern California.

About Coronado Brewing Company
In 1996, when craft beer was still a foreign term and San Diego County was home to only a handful of breweries, the Chapman brothers Ron and Rick opened a brewpub in their hometown of Coronado. Today CBC stays true to their San Diego roots, brewing abundantly hoppy West Coast-style ales, which are available today in 18 US states and twelve countries. In addition to the long-established pub in Coronado, the company opened a tasting room inside their newly built San Diego production facility in early 2013, and a tasting room and restaurant in Imperial Beach, California in 2014. Coronado Brewing Company was honored in 2014 with one of the brewing industry’s most prestigious awards-World Beer Cup Champion Brewery and Brewmaster for a Mid-size Brewing Company.
