Orion Township, MI – Metro Detroit craft beer enthusiasts can soon enjoy specialty brews from Amherst, Wis.-based Central Waters Brewing Co. The brewery known for being one of the nation’s most environmentally sustainable breweries recently signed on with Powers Distributing to bring a selection of its specialty beers to store shelves in Oakland and Macomb counties.

“We are very excited to finally bring our barrel aged line of beers to our neighbors in Michigan,” said Anello Mollica, vice president, Central Waters Brewing Company. “This is just the beginning, and more variety and styles will follow as we grow. We look forward to working with Powers, and all of our Michigan partners, to bring our acclaimed beers into the great state of Michigan.”

Central Waters Brewing Co. is committed to using locally-sourced hops and grains as well as to mitigating the environmental footprint of its beer, including managing energy and resource consumption. The brewery even harnesses solar energy to help offset the energy used during the brewing process, while retaining partnerships with bottling and packaging vendors that share a commitment to the environment.

“Powers Distributing is pleased to add these unique, specialty brews from Central Waters to our craft beer portfolio, and bring them to Oakland and Macomb counties,” said Jeff Bright, director of marketing, Powers Distributing. “Central Waters is also an extremely environmentally conscious company, something we too value at Powers making this partnership a strong fit.”
