WESTPORT, CT – BevBucks, a website that partners with alcohol brands to offer exclusive discounts at bars, restaurants and events has been selected by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association (WDMA) to assist in ticket sales and promotions for its Biergarten on the Green event. The craft beer and beer-infused food tasting event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 27th as part of the weekend long Downtown Westport Foodie Fest. Tickets will be sold through BevBucks.com, a group-buying site specializing in alcohol industry promotions.

Celebrity chef and cookbook author, Ian Knauer will co-host the special occasion. Participants will receive a complimentary tasting mug and German-inspired lunch.
“It’s a great opportunity to watch a professional chef and receive tips on how to include delicious farm-fresh ingredients – and beer – in your own cooking,” added De Monico.
Ian’s recently published book, “The Farm: Rustic Recipes for a Year of Incredible Food” will be available for purchase. The Zany Oompah Band will perform live. Visitors are encouraged to bring a food donation for the Westport Farmers Market food drive to benefit the Gillespie Center of Homes with Hope. Proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations and the WDMA’s downtown beautification efforts.
