Dallas, TX – Andrews Distributing is proud to announce a new partnership with Thatchers Cider of Sandford, Somerset, England.
Thatchers was founded by William John Thatcher in 1904. Although the cider-making process has changed and grown throughout Thatchers’ 111 year history, aspects including the recipes, ingredients and oak vats used to give the cider its distinctive flavor have remained the same. The family farm is still owned and operated by members of the Thatchers family.
Today, the Thatchers team produces a portfolio of multiple award-winning ciders available in package and draft. Thatchers has won a variety of awards for their ciders, business practices, branding and more. Most recently, Thatchers Gold Cider received a gold medal at the U.S. Open Beer Championship in August.
Autumn Richmond, Andrews brand manager for Thatchers, said the addition to the cider portfolio is unique and exciting.
“We are really looking forward to launching Thatchers as our first import cider,” Richmond said. “They are an established brand with a great culture and generations of cider-making experience under their belt. We can’t wait to share the hard work of the Thatchers family and team with Dallas-Fort Worth.”
Andrews plans to launch Thatchers Cider October 1 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The first brands to be sold will be Thatchers Gold and Green Goblin. Gold will be available in draft and four-pack bottles, and Green Goblin will be available in four-pack bottles.
