Oskar Blues Ordeal Returns During 2014 GABF

LONGMONT, CO – The fourth annual Oskar Blues GABF Ordeal consists of three days of bus rides (Denver pick-up) that offer GABF-ers and craft beer lovers the chance to go backstage at ALL Oskar Blues locations during Great American Beer Festival week.

Tickets are available now for each of the Ordeal days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (October 1, 2, 3). Video HERE.

Also, for the first time this year, Oskar Blues is partnering with Draft Magazine to up the ante and offer three national winners a chance for an all-expenses paid for the Ordeal, which includes two days of tickets to GABF.

This on-can program is featured on eight million Dale’s Pale Ale cans, which currently are available in all 35 states in which Oskar Blues beer is distributed. Anyone can sign up to WIN, at http://obordeal.com, for free, from now until September 5.

The THREE national winners will receive the following: FREE airfare for two, plus three nights of accommodations; two days of tickets to the Great American Beer Festival; and one day of Oskar Blues Ordeal bus tickets. There is an additional chance to win via the #showusyourcans CAN’d Aid Foundation program, check that out at http://obordeal.com.

For a schedule of events for each day of the Ordeal and tickets, including the one-of-a-kind GOSPEL BRUNCH at the Hops & Heifers Farm, visit http://brew.oskarblues.com/events.

Each day, Oskar Blues picks up Ordealers outside of the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center in Denver and shows them around our digs in Longmont and Lyons, and then we get all ColoRADo and spend some time hanging at our Hops and Heifers Farm.

Oskar Blues will serve up classic and specialty Oskar Blues beers all day and keep Ordealers well-fed with BBQ and Cajun-style meals. Surprises of the beer variety lurk around each corner all throughout the Oskar Blues Beery Universe.

About Oskar Blues Brewery

Founded as a brewpub by Dale Katechis in 1997, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the original craft beer-in-a-can with Dale’s Pale Ale in 2002 using a tabletop machine that sealed one can at a time. In 2008, the makers of the top-selling pale ale in ColoRADo moved into a 35,000-square-foot facility in Longmont, ColoRADo. The brewery has since experienced explosive growth–packaging 59,000 barrels of beer in 2011 and 86,750 barrels in 2012. In December of 2012, Oskar Blues opened the doors to an additional brewery in Brevard, North Carolina. Together, the breweries packaged over 119,000 barrels of beer in 2013, distributing trailblazing craft brews to 35 U.S. states.
