Brewbound is pleased to announce that Steve Jannuzzo, Sierra Nevada’s national account manager for convenience stores, will present at the Brewbound Session on Nov. 29 in San Diego, Calif.

As detailed in a recent BevNET Magazine article, the convenience store channel has been an area of focus and growth for Sierra Nevada in particular and the craft beer industry as a whole. Convenience store sales of craft beer rose by 13.9 percent last year, and the segment has nearly doubled in terms of its dollar share in the retail channel over the past five years.

In his presentation, Jannuzzo will provide attendees with a brief examination of how craft beer has gradually gained shelf space in convenience stores and discuss key paths to growth for craft within the channel. Jannuzzo will also talk about ways Sierra Nevada has been able to grow its share by developing educational and retail programs for convenience store operators, as well as how the brewery measures success in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Following his talk, Jannuzzo will take part in a question and answer session with attendees.

About Steve Jannuzzo:

Steve Jannuzzo is the National Account Manager for Convenience Stores for Sierra Nevada and has been with working with the brewery since February 2012. Steve has been involved with the alcoholic beverage industry for the past 22 years and began his career at E & J Gallo in 1992. At Gallo, Steve worked with clients to build a business and sales strategy by identifying, simplifying, and understanding their goals and the needs of their customers. He continued this approach at Miller Brewing Co. where he used these basic concepts to grow his territories, regions and eventually his chain customers’ business.  However, Steve realized early on that the convenience channel, the largest retail channel in the beer industry, was where his passion lay. Today, Steve is working with and educating convenience store operators across the country with the aim of expanding availability of Sierra Nevada and craft beer in the U.S.
