Deschutes Brewery Promotes Andrew Tysler to National Sales Director

DeschutesBEND, OR – Deschutes Brewery has promoted Andrew Tysler to the newly created position of National Sales Director for the company.

He was previously Western Region Sales Director and was appointed interim National Sales Director when the former Director of Sales and Marketing left Deschutes Brewery at the end of January. Given the growth of the company and the distinct skill sets required by the marketing and sales functions, Deschutes decided to split the Marketing and Sales job into two separate marketing and sales leadership positions. The search for a Director of Marketing is currently underway. Both positions will report to Michael LaLonde, Chief Operating Officer of Deschutes Brewery.

“We conducted an external search and had several excellent candidates vying for this position,” said Michael LaLonde. “However, Andy’s strong beer industry experience combined with his proven ability to lead the sales team made him the top choice for this job. He has already had a significant impact implementing new systems and processes that improve the effectiveness of our sales team, and we’re looking forward to his future contributions in this new role.”

Andrew joined Deschutes in August of 2011. Since 1999 Andrew has worked in the beverage industry; first in the beer industry for Paulaner and Heineken and most recently in the spirits industry for Diageo. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from the University of Denver.

About Deschutes Brewery:

Located on the banks of the Deschutes River in beautiful Bend, Oregon, Deschutes Brewery is in the business of daring people to expect more from their beer. That’s why we started off back in 1988, selling Black Butte Porter at a time when others were sure a dark beer would never catch on. Our brewers love to buck convention, especially if it makes someone nervous. For us, however, the highest praise is a raised glass and a toast of “Bravely Done!” For more information about Deschutes Brewery and its courageously crafted beers, please visit www.DeschutesBrewery.com, on Facebook at facebook.com/Deschutes.Brewery or on Twitter.
