EXCLUSIVE CONTENT: Extreme Beer Fest 2011

BOSTON – Some consider it the Super Bowl of beer. Others just enjoy wearing a pretzel necklace and tasting some of the most creative beers on the planet.

No matter what end of the spectrum you are on, one thing is certain: creativeness at Beer Advocate’s 2011 Extreme Beer Fest was at an all time high.

Whether it was Dark Horse’s Uber-Boober made with baby formula, or Sierra Nevada’s Saison de Haircot made with Very Cherry Jelly Belly’s, the creativity was literally flowing.

This year’s theme was ‘extreme session beers,’ and featured some notable offerings from the likes of Dogfish Head, Stone Brewing, Sierra Nevada and The Lost Abbey.

Brewbound was fortunate enough to attend the event with Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head. There we caught up with Dark Horse Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Captain Lawrence and The Lost Abbey. Check out our coverage below, including an exclusive video interview with Dogfish Head!
