Odell Brewing’s Isolation Ale Returns

Fort Collins, Colo. – On September 18, 2010, Odell Brewing will release Isolation ale, the brewery’s winter warmer. Isolation ale, now in its eleventh season, follows the brewery’s summer seasonal St Lupulin.

Brewed with premium imported English malts, the toasty brew boasts a slightly sweet spiciness that is balanced by a clean and crisp hop presence. The rich amber color is enhanced by a frothy snow-capped head. At 6.0% ABV, the ale delivers a warm and smooth finish.

“We were knocked out by this one. Malty and full-flavored, it's rich and caramelly but with a sturdy hoppiness,” said Maggie Hoffman in her review for SeriousEats.com. “This is a perfect cold-weather beer.”

Isolation ale pairs well with a variety of seasonal dishes such as hearty chili, roasted turkey, or gingerbread. Six packs of the seasonal release will be available throughout the brewery’s nine state distributor region for a suggested retail price of $9.99-$10.99.

Odell brewing will celebrate the return of Isolation Ale on Saturday September 18th at the brewery’s Tap Room during the Great American Beer Fest weekend. Visitors are encouraged to stop in for samples of the beer, tasty snacks, and live music. And despite the recent 90 degree temps, the brewery is forecasting snow.
